3G WCDMA Network Order in Denmark

Europe : 3G operator 3 has signed a contract with Ericsson for the supply of a WCDMA 3G network in Denmark. Under the agreement Ericsson will supply core, radio and transmission equipment. The agreement also includes services such as implementation, design and support.

The network will be fully integrated with 3's Swedish network, which is also supplied by Ericsson. Ericsson's solution enables 3 to launch with comprehensive functionality.

in delivering 3G systems with multi country solutions that are ready
for commercial use today".

The WCDMA contract with 3 in Denmark underlines Ericsson's position
as the world's leading supplier of 3G mobile systems. Ericsson has
now been named as vendor in 41 out of 78 publicly announced WCDMA
agreements to date and has a global market share of 40 per cent.
