US : At CTIA WIRELESS 2009, NEC will discuss how its digital microwave radio solution – under the Nlite™ family brand – will help mobile operators ease their migration path to WiMAX and LTE mobile networks.
As a long-time, global developer of highly-reliable point-to-point digital microwave radio technologies, NEC anticipates to see an increase in demand for its advanced microwave communications solutions. This growth is expected to be realized as mobile operators’ transition their networks to 4G – incorporating WiMAX and LTE base stations in their networks to enable the rapid growth of mobile phone subscribers, the spread of mobile Internet services and the creation of new broadband markets.
To ease the migration to IP-based 4G mobile networks, NEC’s microwave solutions provide the foundation for next-generation mobile backhaul environments. NEC’s solutions offer flexibility and scalability, and enable collocated backhaul applications for both legacy and new technology infrastructures. This in turn, gives carriers’ ultimate CAPEX and OPEX reductions without compromising the reliability of connections between base stations and high capacity core switches.
