UK : The HTC Magic, exclusive in the UK to Vodafone and Vodafone’s first Android-powered smartphone, will be available to pre-order from today at vodafone.co.uk/magic, through Vodafone’s retail stores and by telesales.

The HTC Magic pricing starts from free on a two year contract at £35 per month including unlimited mobile internet use*, 600 minutes and unlimited texts. The phone will also come with a 2GB memory card. Customers who take advantage of the pre-order service online will also benefit from a great value offer from Vodafone and receive the £35 price plan £30.

The HTC Magic is an easy to use touch screen mobile, which allows users to personalise the way they use the internet on their mobile, as well as download relevant applications, ringtones and games thanks to direct access to the application-rich Android Market.

The new design includes six hard buttons for navigation, volume control, a call/hang up key, home button, menu button, and quick ‘Search’ key to make using the phone’s menus or searching the internet even quicker. The touch screen includes a responsive QWERTY keyboard which uses predictive text for speed and the ability to cut and paste.

There are plenty of new additions to the latest Android-powered phone including improvements to the fully functional web browser, with GoogleTM search and Vodafone live! on the home screen, which allows users to easily find information and discover the mobile internet experience. It also features stereo Bluetooth for audio, the ability to load pictures to Picasa Web AlbumsTM, and to record video and upload clips to YouTubeTM.
