Avesair Provides Mobile Marketing Technology for MSN Wireless Services
14th August 2002

Avesair announced it has signed an agreement with MSN to jointly offer mobile marketing services to a broad network of wireless carriers, publishers, and media companies in North America. Avesair, developer of mobile marketing technology and service solutions, enables MSN, the world's most popular online destination, to drive media revenue through wireless advertising, interactive customer loyalty and retention programs for operators, and by optimizing relationships with 3rd party media partners.

"Our relationship with MSN is a strong testament to the strength of our wireless technology and the allure of our network," said Sean Harrison, EVP of Business Development and Marketing, Avesair. "With the inclusion of the MSN carrier reach in North America, we are now serving over half of the mobile marketing messages in North America. We look forward to working with MSN to offer further services to wireless carriers, publishers, advertisers, and media companies worldwide."

Under the terms of the agreement, MSN will use Avesair's Mobile Marketing Platform (MMP) to deliver marketing messages across MSN Mobile 5.0, the latest wireless data service from MSN. In addition, MSN's media sales team will resell wireless ad inventory from the Avesair Mobile Marketing Network, the largest group of wireless publishers consisting of 60 leading content providers with a wide range of categories and topics to meet the demographic needs of major brand advertisers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With Avesair's Mobile Marketing Platform in use by MSN, advertisers can run advertisements, promotions, and coupons in targeted, interactive programs across MSN Mobile, where more than 5 million worldwide customers use wireless data services each month. Additionally, advertisers benefit from Avesair's capability to offer a wide array of compelling ad formats and response mechanisms. These include SMS, instant messaging, store locator function, MMS, opt-in mobile email, and Interactive Voice Response (IVR), to all major wireless devices including mobile phones, PDAs, and pagers. This is a breakthrough for major brand advertisers who are clamoring to reach the mobile consumer at the point of sale with high-impact ads.

"At MSN, we're constantly striving to find new opportunities for advertisers. By partnering with Avesair, MSN will be the first major Web portal to offer a broad array of wireless advertising opportunities," said Joanne Bradford, vice president of MSN.

In addition to licensing Avesair's Mobile Marketing Platform, MSN will resell inventory from the Avesair Mobile Marketing Network, giving advertisers and agencies an easy and cost-effective solution to leverage the Wireless Internet to expand revenue, increase brand recognition and drive sales. As a result, MSN can quickly go beyond their traditional media buys and increase its reach to the highly coveted wireless demographic.
