"This will provide us with the infrastructure for our present and future needs in billing and in launching new products across Europe," said Antony Willis, Head of Service Management at COLT. "Intec not only demonstrated its willingness and flexibility to meet COLT's requirements, but also the ability to provide the service to support our business." Intec's award-winning* Inter-mediatE system offers clients a convergent, real-time mediation solution that is compatible with all fixed, wireless, and next generation networks. Inter-mediatE uses an advanced distributed architecture that allows users to gather high volumes of network usage data from anywhere in the network for processing, enhancement and distribution to downstream systems such as billing. Inter-mediatE has over 100 customers around the world, including Telia Sweden, Hutchison 3G and ITXC in the USA. "We are extremely pleased to extend our relationship with COLT, one of the most dynamic telecommunications operators in Europe," said Kevin Adams, Intec's CEO. "The selection process for winning this contract was very challenging - Intec was pitted against many leading mediation vendors. COLT chose Intec because they were satisfied that Intec could deliver the requirements for their new business objectives based on the technology and success rate of the Inter-mediatE system. As a dedicated user of our InterconnecT billing platform, COLT also had first hand knowledge of our commitment to offering the highest level of technical expertise and customer service. Winning this deal strengthens our position in the mediation market, while demonstrating to other potential users that Inter-mediate is an exceptional player in the OSS business." *
Inter-mediatE was selected in June 2002 for a Telestrategies Award of
Excellence for Mediation. |
