France : LG and Orange have released the world’s first 3G watch phone in France, codenamed the GD910.
The watch phone is like something crafted by Q for James Bond and will no doubt prove a highly desirable object and fashion statement.
The GD910 has a 1.43” touch screen and the whole watch is only 14mm thick, which is some accomplishment for such a feature-packed device. The watch functionality itself is pretty standard fair, having a world clock, stopwatch and is splash resistant.
The watch is 3G/3G+ capable, ensuring it is compatible with mobile broadband. As well as touch screen capability other features include a VGA camera, MP3 player, diary capability, dictaphone software and Bluetooth capability.
The GD910 3G watch phone has been available on Orange since the 6th August in France and will no doubt spread across Europe very soon.
