UK : Orange has released details of new mobile and broadband tariffs, including the UK’s lowest price broadband price plan.
The new broadband package, which costs only £4.89 per month, is available to all Orange mobile and home broadband customers. The service is available on an 18 month contract and comes with a free Huawei E160e USB dongle (black, white or pink in colour). The monthly data usage of 500mb per month with download speeds of 3.6mbps, making the tariff perfect for people who just want to surf the web or email from their mobile.
Orange is imminently going to introduce software that enables users to see when they are approaching their usage limit, which will be available to download at www.orange.co.uk/updates
Another new tariff is the “Early Bird” tariffs, which provide unlimited mobile broadband in the early hours between 12am and 9am which is additional to normal usage allowances. These packages are available on 12 month tariffs and are mainly aimed at users who might want to download over night. Prices start from just £13 a month for the 1GB usage allowance package.
Orange has also announced it will introduce a “monthly cap” of £40, which means that users cannot be charged more than this figure from additional bandwidth costs.
