O2 Launch New Mobile TV Packages

Europe : O2 have released details of “O2 TV”, its new mobile TV service.

The new service available in Ireland offers two mobile TV packages.

The first of these the “Lifestyle Pack” features entertainment channels including CNN, Travel Channel and RTE News Now. The second package is called “Sky Sports and News Pack”, which offers Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Sky News.

To give consumers the best possible chance to encounter this new unique experience O2 is launching a 30 day free trial for those who sign up before September 9th. The pack will eventually cost 5 Euros a month for the “Lifestyle pack” and 6 Euros for the “Sky Sports and News pack”

Commenting on the launch, Karl Aherne, Category Manager, Digital & Entertainment – Telefonica O2 Ireland, said, “We are delighted to be introducing a new mobile TV service for our customers. The two packages we have put together will give customers the widest choice of channels across news, sports and entertainment at extremely competitive rates.”
