The LG eXpo is a new 3G HSPA smartphone with a difference. It has an onboard pico projector. The pico projector is optional with the LG eXpo which also has a 1 Gigahertz Snapdragon processor.
LG eXpo’s pico projector ( made by Texas Instruments ) snaps in place onto the rear of the LG eXpo and then becomes a presenters’ dream toy. The mobile projector is ideal for presentations and slide shows powered from your LG eXpo with a projection distance of 8 feet. You can see a pico projector phone in action below - note this not the LG eXpo though.

The LG eXpo has a 16 million 3.2 inch touchscreen and a full size QWERTY keyboard. It’s a slider design with a 5 megapixel camera with auto flash. There is also a 16 Gigabyte microSD card.
The LG eXpo comes with Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and weighs only 1.8 ounces and will launch in the US on 7th December. The phone is expected to launch in the UK in the first quarter of 2010.
The makers of the Pico Projector have already teamed up with Samsung for a similar type of pico projector phone. More details here.
LG eXpo also eliminates the need for pin codes and passwords with the exclusive "Smart Sensor" fingerprint recognition from AuthenTec, which delivers a new level of added smart and personal security unlike any other mobile phone in the market. AT&T is the first to offer U.S. subscribers a smartphone that leverages the features and functions of a smart sensor.
The Smart Sensor complements the touchscreen user interface of the eXpo by also providing precise cursor control for text editing, 4-way menu navigation, and AuthenTec's unique turbo-scroll feature for rapid browsing of long emails, contact lists or websites.
