Watchmark Lands Hutchison 3G Project

5th February 2003

WatchMark announced that they through Teleca will co-operate with 3, a new 3G operator owned by Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. and Investor AB. 3
is using WatchMark as part of an agreement with Teleca, which will install and integrate WatchMark's management solution WatchMark Prospect® 7 and its visualization solution WatchMark Pilot® for
deployment across its entire network together with other Operations Support Systems.

Inset is WatchMark President & CEO Todd Eliason who is quoted below.

"3 of Sweden is taking a leadership position in mobile multimedia by
offering a complete suite of compelling, high quality voice and mobile
multimedia services." said Jörgen Askeroth, CTO at 3. "We believe
implementing an intelligent performance management solution is an
important part of competing for and retaining customers. The ability to
proactively manage, trend and report on the performance of our network
ensures that we will set a high standard for service quality for our
subscribers."

As a Greenfield operator deploying a 3G network as its first foray into
network operations, 3 conducted extensive evaluation of its go-to-market
operations support systems (OSS) solutions. An important task is to
assure the quality of the service delivery alongside other basics such
as billing and provisioning applications, which is why 3 selected
WatchMark Prospect and WatchMark Pilot through their co-operation with
Teleca. WatchMark and systems integration partner Teleca will jointly
provide rapid implementation of WatchMark Prospect and WatchMark Pilot
as 3 continues rollout and increases capacity of its network.

Top line and bottom line impact
WatchMark Prospect is an intelligent performance management solution
that will help 3 of Sweden capture and analyze vital service metrics,
optimize infrastructure investments, automate time-consuming tasks and
proactively monitor and predict performance thresholds.

Unlike traditional performance management products, WatchMark Prospect
provides enterprise-wide, multi-vendor network reporting capabilities
that will allow 3 of Sweden to aggregate information from a complex
converged network that includes elements from multiple technology
providers, including Ericsson, Cisco and TCS. The ability to unify
information from diverse network elements will offer greater operational
efficiency and a more accurate evaluation of network performance.

Unique visualization across applications
3 will also utilize WatchMark Pilot to offer complete, graphical
representation of information drawn from WatchMark's performance
management application and third party fault and inventory management
systems. WatchMark Pilot will integrate real-time and historical data,
including fault, performance, configuration, trouble ticketing, and
inventory data and present it in an easy to understand graphical format.
3's operations staff will be able to take advantage of Pilot's exclusive
replay feature to view historical data and analyze trends and changes
over time and positively identify network issues or new revenue
opportunities.

"Wireless network operators, particularly those offering services for
3G, recognize the extremely positive effect intelligent performance
management has on their business, especially as they move from
network-centric to services-centric thinking. The ability to proactively
assure network performance in the early days of winning new customers on
a new network is vital," said WatchMark President & CEO Todd Eliason. "3
is well positioned to capitalize on the potential for 3G services in
Scandinavia and WatchMark is pleased to have been chosen to help
consistently deliver the highest possible quality of service to their
customers."
