Siemens CF62 Clamshell Phone

Europe : Siemens Information and Communication Mobile (Siemens mobile) unveils its stunning new clamshell phone - the triband CF62 - at an international product launch in Madrid. With a clean design and two screens - including the 65.536 color main display – the CF62 is perfect for consumers who want their phone to have a vivid display embedded in a stylish housing.

The CF62 is perfect for those who want a phone with precise details. The compact clamshell has distinctive lines which integrate smoothly the subtle loop antenna and harmonise well with the genuine chrome finish. Muted colors complement the pared-down styling, as the CF62 is available in either ‘cool grey’ or ‘cool cashmere’ colors. When not showing off the phone’s good looks, the compact CF62 fits into the smallest of pockets – it is a mere 78cm3 volume and weighs a light 85g.

While it has reduced looks, under the surface the CF62 is expressive. There’s a high-resolution 65.536 CSTN color display for vividly rendering MMS messages or pictures taken with the attachable QuickPic Camera with flash. The CF62 is triband, enabled with polyphonic ring tones, and equipped with JAVA, GPRS and WAP. The phone can be easily customized with downloaded sounds, images and applications from the Siemens Internet to match the own personal style, from almost anywhere in the world.

The CF62 is as reliable as it is beautifully designed - there is a caller display on the outer screen so you know who is calling you before flipping the phone open. The phone provides five hours talk time and 220 hours of standby time.

The new clamshell phone comes with a wide range of Siemens Original Accessories to allow maximum convenience. Besides the attachable QuickPic Camera with flash, it offers a range of headsets including the new designed Headset Purestyle. Plus, there are two high quality portable in-car solutions, the innovative plug & play Car Kit Easy and the flexible Car Kit Portable. Additionally there are a stylish Textile Case and a practical Tour Case as well as various chargers, a data cable and an extra battery.

The phone will be available in Europe from April 2004 and in Asia Pacific and North America from the second quarter 2004. Prices will be available locally.
