Tanzania : Vodacom Tanzania today launched the first of its 3G HSDPA products –the 3G HSDPA Data Card which offers broadband speed on the move. Vodacom will make this product available on both post-paid and prepaid packages through its Vodashops in Dar es Salaam. "Our 3G HSDPA launch has created much anticipation among consumers and the media and I'm very proud of our team, because they made it possible for us to bring it to market as promised," said Romeo Kumalo, Vodacom Tanzania's Managing Director. "This launch places us in a very strong position and sets us apart, as we are only the second country in Africa to launch a 3G HSDPA network. It is the fastest, wireless mobile connection to the Internet, for your office network and email from your computer," he added. The first product to be launched is the 3G Data Card, which slots into a laptop and connects via Vodacom's high-speed 3G HSDPA network. The Vodacom Data Card takes advantage of Vodacom's 3G HSDPA network, offering superior speeds. 3G HSDPA is available in Dar es Salaam only. When you move out of 3G coverage, you stay connected by seamlessly switching to Vodacom’s high-quality GPRS network, available across the country. |
