US : Axesstel extends its gateway lines with the enhanced MU430 ( inset ). The MU430 provides High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) technology for increased speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps for downlink and 2 Mbps for uplink for high-speed access to email, the internet, data intensive applications files and multi-media streaming. In addition, it seamlessly combines wireless wide area networking (WWAN) and a Wi-Fi wireless local area network (WLAN) router to support convenient access from any room or office and trouble-free set up of a local hotspot.

The MU430 homologation samples for field testing will be available by the middle of February. Axesstel will be demonstrating the MU430 at Mobile World Congress ‘09 in Barcelona in February.

The MU430 HSUPA Gateway offers wireless broadband data access in one easy to use, plug-and-play desktop networking device. It provides global connectivity in UMTS Tri-Band of 2100/1900/850MHz and in GSM, GPRS, and EDGE Quad-Band of 850/900/1800/1900MHz and is backward compatible with HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, and GSM. The MU430 has optional voice feature for added user benefit.
