Google has decided to “muscle in” on the growing social networking market for mobile devices. It’s launched Google Buzz which works with Gmail and allows you to keep in touch when on the move. There is a demo of Google Buzz below.
Google Buzz has been developed solely for mobile devices and lets you share videos, photos, web links and lots more. It allows you to share your experiences with your mates and offers an easy way to let them know where you are when you post.
It works by setting up a list of your friends which is taken from your Gmail contact list. There is a facility to post privately or to one and all. Content can be shared from sites like YouTube etc.
If you have an iPhone or Android mobile phone then head to Buzz.Google.com to get the app. There are two ways to see your messages. These are geared towards either your friends or by location via Google Maps. iPhone and Android users also get a voice shortcut, which is available in the quick search widget on Android and in Google Mobile App on iPhone, allows you to post buzz without typing anything. Just say 'post buzz,' followed by whatever you'd like to post.
