The 3G enabled Nokia 6700 Slide which was announced in November last year will be ready to buy in March this year. We covered the announcement of the Nokia 6700 Slide here.

We have already met the Nokia 6700 Slide’s stalemate the Nokia 6700 Classic when we here at 3G.co.uk reviewed it back in July 2009 when our verdict stated “A highly competent handset that offers mid-range features and superb looks to boot”. So expect nothing less from the Slider version. Read our Nokia 6700 Classic review here.

The Nokia 6700 Slide comes in a choice of 6 highly vibrant colours : pink, red, , petrol blue, aluminum , lime and purple. It’s a brightly coloured mobile with subtle curves and buttons shaped like bubbles. The front panel which slides is made from aluminum and looks as good as it feels. 3G.co.uk posted a video demo of the Nokia 6700 Slide which can be found here.

The Nokia 6700 Slide comes with a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens , which is a great camera for getting those important shots. Photos can easily be uploaded to web directly from the camera menu and it’s 3G connectivity ensures this is a speedy process. Mobile browsing is fast via the 3G HSDPA capabilities of the handset and the smooth Symbian operating system.

The Nokia 6700 Slide will cost around 130 Euros.
