Test Equipment Agreement |
7th January 2003 |
This
agreement is designed to strengthen the market position of Micronetics
WAVE3G multipath fading simulator product by providing complimentary
RF conversion devices. Charles Freihofer, Director of Test Solutions, says, "Our handset and base-station customers are demanding superior RF performance from their Multipath / AWGN test sets. Our strategy has been to partner where possible with leading edge companies to deliver excellent, reliable and cost-effective solutions. The combination of the Yokogawa instruments with the Micronetics WAVE3G Multipath Fader / AWGN generator exceeds our customers toughest specifications. This solution also supports our strategy of providing our customers with modular solutions that permit them to build just the right test set for their application." Brad Byrum, General Manager of Yokogawa Corporation of America, stated, "Today most engineers are looking for complete solutions, not individual pieces of equipment to integrate into a solution themselves. Micronetics has answered their call and created an integrated solution that will allow engineers to quickly develop their carrier-to-noise and multipath fading testing programs using proven, reliable hardware. I think Micronetics has hit a home-run with this solution." Micronetics, operating through its Defense Electronics Group, designs and manufactures microwave and radio frequency (RF) components and integrated subassemblies used in a variety of defense, aerospace and commercial applications. Operating through its Test Solutions, Noise Figure Products and VCO Products Groups, Micronetics designs and manufactures test equipment and components that are utilized in or test the strength, durability and integrity of communication signals in communications equipment. Micronetics serves a diverse customer base, including Aerosat, Alcatel, BAE Systems, Boeing, EADS, Ericsson, Honeywell, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, NEC, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Southwest Research, Teradyne, Tektronix and Thales. Micronetics also operates through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Microwave & Video Systems, Inc. and Enon Microwave, Inc.
