| 3G Launch Lights Up |

ASIA : As 3 prepare to offically launch 3G Services in Hong Kong - a newly lit-up 3 advertisement on Cheung Kong Centre has appeared. The towering 3 advertisment shows the logo of 3 in different colours. It adds great colours to the glittering harbour lighting decoration. 3G will finally launch in Hong Kong within a few days after the company missed its original target of launch in HK in 2003. The company gave a 3G demonstration of the service and new NECe616 handsets in December, 2003. 3 will deliver to customers an integrated information, communication and entertainment service on its new generation of mobile phones, which also offer video calling and video messaging. HWL Group Managing Director Canning Fok hailed the announcement as a breakthrough for the telecommunications industry in Hong Kong. Chairman Li Ka-shing confirmed the launch will take place within the next week. |
