Europe : Vodafone Portugal customers can currently use their phones on the networks of 317 mobile telecommunications operators in 153 countries or autonomous territories on all continents.

Vodafone Portugal already provides a 3G/UMTS roaming service on the networks of 11 operators in 11 countries (France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom). This service will be progressively extended to all countries with which Vodafone Portugal has roaming agreements and where there is 3G/UMTS coverage.

New additions to Vodafone Portugal’s international coverage include some of the holiday destinations that are increasingly popular with the Portuguese. An example of this are the agreements signed with Cable & Wireless Caribbean Cellular which operates in the West Indies and Caribbean, opening up or reinforcing coverage in places such as Jamaica, Antigua, Montserrat, Barbados, Anguilla, St. Lucia, Grenada, the Cayman Islands, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

During the same period, Vodafone Portugal’s roaming coverage was also extended to Colombia and Saudi Arabia.
