The two companies are joining forces to be among the first worldwide to offer notebooks with integrated HSDPA, UMTS and W-LAN mobile communications technology from the spring of 2006. These notebooks, together with so-called HSDPA, the turbo technology for UMTS, will enable users to access the Internet or their company’s intranet in many regions at about the same speed as in the fixed network via DSL. The first product to emerge from the cooperation is a modern Fujitsu Siemens notebook in the AMILO pro series with the HSDPA enabled Mobile DSL card 1800 plus a mobile telephone contract for an extraordinarily good price. “As market leaders in information and communications technology, the two companies complement each other perfectly“, says Philipp Humm, Chairman of the Managing Board and Director of Sales at T-Mobile Deutschland GmbH. “Combining the expertise and experience of Fujitsu Siemens Computers and T-Mobile creates considerable synergy effects, allowing us to offer very innovative products“. Hans-Dieter Wysuwa, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Fujitsu Siemens Computers Germany, says that customers will profit from the cooperation in many ways, “This enables us to provide trading partners and users with integrated services. They don’t just get individual components; they get integrated services from a single source – that includes incorporating the mobile solution into the company network.“ The cooperation partners are offering their customers and trading partners optimised products for fast and secure mobile access to e-mails, Internet, intranet and other internal company systems via notebooks and handheld devices, like the Fujitsu Siemens Computers AMILO pro with a Mobile DSL card 1800 from T-Mobile. This offer is available at a very competitive price in the T-Punkt Business outlets and from the Fujitsu Siemens Computers sales partners from mid March 2006. Fujitsu Siemens Computers
and T-Mobile plan to launch the first notebooks with integrated
HSDPA, UMTS and W-LAN technology on the market in the second quarter
of 2006. These innovative devices, based on the LIFEBOOK business
series by Fujitsu Siemens Computers, give users automatic access
to the fastest T-Mobile network platform available in the area with
no need for an external mobile data communication card. The pre-installed
communication software, the Communication Center, automatically
selects data transmission by HSDPA in UMTS areas, for example, and
W-LAN technology in HotSpots. This mobile solution in one piece
makes accessing e-mails, company applications and the Internet while
on the move not just very fast, but also simple and easy to use. |
