NCT
Group announced that Sharp has incorporated its ClearSpeech(R) Adaptive
Speech Filter (ASF) algorithm into its new line of Third Generation
Cell Phones (3G Phones) like the FOMA SH2101V below.
ASF cleans background noise from transmitted speech for much improved voice quality listening comfort and intelligibility. We believe that NCTI's technology delivers a significant advantage to our product over those of Sharp's competitors," said Michael Parrella, Chairman and CEO, NCTI. "Consumers will find a higher degree of speech clarity and intelligibility even in noisy environments." The ASF algorithm significantly reduces background noise from speech and other transmitted signals. ASF dramatically improves ease of communication through devices such as telephones and radios. Effective against a wide variety of noise sources, ASF can be implemented real-time on embedded chips or can be run on a PC under Windows.
