Europe : bmd wireless, announced today that 3, the Italian mobile video company of the Hutchison Whampoa Group, has deployed a missed call notification solution from HP and bmd wireless providing customers with new value added services and convenience. The Personal Call Collector (PCC) from bmd provides 3 with proven technology to capture attempted/missed voice and video calls when a mobile user is out of coverage or not reachable. The system notifies the called party with the date/time of the calls, number of attempted/missed calls and delivers the information via a short message. The Personal Call Collector is a high performance platform that is tightly integrated with HP's OpenCall SS7 platform, the world leader in computer-based SS7 signaling and the pioneer in providing mission-critical SS7 UNIX platforms. The PCC is supported by HP global and local services. About 3 3 - It is the commercial brand of H3G, the first mobile video company of the Italian market.
