Europe : The leading Serbian mobile operator has chosen Nokia Siemens Networks for the supply and implementation of its GSM network extensions and 3G WCDMA network with HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) functionality and associated services. It covers equipment delivery and installation, commissioning and integration of the system, comprising such solutions as a high speed radio network, next generation mobile core equipment and an extension of the prepaid system. The contract also will consolidate Nokia Siemens Networks’ leadership position in the Serbian market as well as in other South-East European countries in which Telekom Srbija operates. The tailor made package includes 3G radio and core equipment (Mobile Softswitching solution consisting of MSC Servers and Media Gateways) as well as an extension of the prepaid system.
