29th July , 2009
US : It is forecast that although 4G wireless will advance via a number of routes in many countries, this will not be the case in China. In-Stat predicts that only 3G LTE will suffice in China. Further the company predicts that TD-LTE will gather more pace than LTE-FDD with China Mobile as the front-runner. China Mobile are currently planning a TD-LTE network. It is believed that China Telecom and China Unicom will also follow the TD-LTE route.
In-Stat also forecast that China will have less than 500K 3G LTE subscribers in 2013 and that 80 percent will come from China Mobile. Also that China Unicom and China Telecom are likely to begin 3G LTE wireless networks in 2012.
