28th July , 2009

US : A new Huawei 3G LTE lab will open in Texas in the city of Richardson. The new laboratory means that Huawei will have a fully kitted facility to demonstrate their 3G LTE and 4G capabilities to US and Canadian operators. Above shows Huawei's 3G LTE demonstration displayed on screen.

The laboratory has been in place for some time and was originally opened as a prototype facility. The latest developments have enabled Huawei to implement its first fully commercial 3G LTE solution.

The new updated 3G LTE facility provides its design people the opportunity to “snuggle up” and work closer with US and Canadian 3G operators.

The 3G LTE lab includes :
- UGW 9811 unified gateway
- SingleRAN DBS3900 eNodeB
- M2000 element management system
- USN 9810 unified service node
- Latest 3G LTE versions of commercial software

“It is a key step forward in our readiness to support customers launching LTE in the United States and Canada with local facilities and resources,” said Carl Liu, Executive Vice President of Huawei North America.
