7th July , 2009

UK : O2 UK and Wyless have made an agreement so that O2 customers will benefit from improved M2M connectivity and reliability. Wyless is a leading Global Network Enabler and O2 will be using the company’s global Managed Services.

Wyless call this “GNE in a box” and allows the operator to offer value added services to its customers. O2 customers will have access to the Wyless’ Portos SAAS based management platform which gives real-time visibility, control and management of their network.

Dr Mike Short ( above ), Vice President Telefónica Europe, stated: “Today more and more businesses are implementing wireless networks and our joint go-to-market approach means we have combined forces to offer the most flexible, reliable and manageable solution, with a global footprint, wide roaming capabilities, and complete network visibility. We look forward to strengthening this relationship with Wyless worldwide.”
