US :The Dilithium DTG multimedia gateway received a prestigious award at the International Symposium (Fifth) on Wireless Communication Applications in China. Dilithium was awarded the 2007-2008 Best Product and Solution in Wireless Communication.

This award reflected recognition of Dilithiums leading edge 3G transcoding technology and gateway products. Dilithium products and solutions are currently in commercial 3G trials with major operators and service providers in China. The Symposium was sponsored by the China Ministry of Information Industry and the award was issued by Mr. Zhu, ex Vice Minister of MII and current Chairman of China Communication Association.

China is the largest mobile market in the world and one of the most demanding, so we are honored by Dilithiums selection for this award, said Paul Zuber, CEO Dilithium. Our ultra-efficient, scalable technology provides a high quality video experience for any network and to any device, which makes our solutions a good fit for the China market.

The DTG multimedia gateways enable a wide range of converged video value added services such as live TV, video portals, video surveillance, video blogging, video push, and video ring back tones. The DTG is also used as a combined IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) video gateway, and more specifically as a MGCF/IMS-GW (Media Gateway Control Function and IMS media gateway). Dilithium is the first to market with a multimedia gateway incorporating these technologies. DTG fully supports all of the three MONA terminal classes for the best performance and flexibility with any handset.

Dilithium is already recognized in China for its market leading 3G-324M Multimedia Protocol Stack which has been adopted by major ODM and OEMs worldwide and has become the defacto standard for the TD-SCDMA market with an estimated 80% market share.
