LG Showcase Latest Wireless Handsets

LG Mobile Phones will be in high gear at the CTIA Wireless 2003 trade show at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans March 17-19, offering attendees a chance to preview its newest and yet-to-be-released mobile handsets that combine the latest wireless technologies with the style and innovation, qualities that consumers have come to expect from LG.

In addition to the introduction of its North American handset roadmap, LG will also be demonstrating approximately 25 of its most innovative and cutting-edge handsets from around the globe -- including Asian, South American and European phones.

"With all of the different things that we are involved in at this year's CTIA, you won't be able to go anywhere at the show without coming across LG," said Michele Thenegal, director of marketing for North America. "The introduction of our 2003 handset roadmap will finally allow the industry to get a glimpse of the amazing line-up of upcoming phones that exemplify LG's 'fashion meets function' credo."

LG's presence in New Orleans will begin with MobileFocus, a special press-only preview of the latest wireless products and services hosted by Pepcom. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans on Sunday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m.

LG Electronics Chairman & CEO, John Koo will be in from Seoul, Korea, to be one of the keynote speakers as he discusses innovation in the wireless industry in a conversation with CTIA CEO, Tom Wheeler. The keynote sessions at CTIA will run from 8-11am; Mr. Koo's keynote is scheduled to begin at 9:50am.
Fashionistas and wannabes alike can then check out the sleek styles and hot new looks of LG's latest handsets at the "Fashion In Motion" wireless fashion show which will be held several times during each day of the show in Hall A of the convention center. Six of LG's newest and upcoming handsets will be featured in this show that encourages people to "Live Well," "Work Smart" and "Play Hard."

And of course during exhibit hours at the show, attendees can get a close look at all the latest products from LG at the LG booth, #3116.

Handsets LG will feature at the show include:

LG 1200: Communicate in style with this attractive clamshell handset, one of the smallest and lightest in its class. Weighing in at less than 3.18 ounces, the 1200 packs a big punch. It includes LG's trademark external display for quick access to Caller ID, the latest in personal options with its customizable Power On/Power Off images and 14 unique ring tones, as well as a calendar/scheduler and Smart Filing System that automatically sorts incoming messages.

LG 3100/3100L: Fashion meets function at an affordable price with the 3100. Offered in striking silver or slick black leather, this lightweight clamshell phone is E911 capable and features an extensive phone book, calendar/scheduler and 27 ring tones.

LG 4010: Debuting on the GSM network, this ultra-light clamshell phone offers wireless Internet access, MIDI sound with 40 polyphonic levels and a large LCD screen -- a perfect, no-fuss tool for doing business on the run.

LG 4050: Also on the GSM network, the 4050 boasts LG's innovative organic color LCD screen, which will add hours to the phone's battery life. Callers can surf the Web as well as send video clips, photos and instant messages using this sleek clamshell handset. An optional snap-on camera, MIDI sound and voice-activated dialing and recording makes the 4050 a must-have.

LG 4400: The leader of the pack in day-to-day performance, perfect for business with plenty of fun on the side. It raises the bar for mobile phones with a long list of up-to-the-minute standard features, including color screen, high-speed voice and data service, voice-activated dialing and one-touch memo recording.

LG 5350: The crystal clear graphics and colorful LCD display on LG's 5350 complement its sleek and stylish blue and silver frame, making it a trend-setting combination of style and technology. This phone lets users download photos, screen savers and video games, as well as stay in touch with wireless messaging and voice-activated dialing.

LG 5450: LG invites users to awake their inner shutterbug with the 5450. This stylish clamshell handset has all the innovative, easy-to-use features that callers expect from LG, including an integrated digital camera with quality VGA imaging, Internet access, large color screen and customizable caller ID on its external LCD.
