3G Mobile Gaming Added To OMAP Platform

Synergenix Interactive announced it has tailored its mophun™ mobile gaming solution to the OMAP platform from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI).

Synergenix’s mophun will enable handset manufacturers to add graphic-rich, interactive games to 2.5 and 3G mobile devices based on TI’s industry-leading OMAP platform.

“The high performance and low power consumption of TI’s OMAP processors are ideal for game engines that enable users to download real-time interactive games on their mobile phones,” said Paul Werp, director of marketing for TI’s OMAP platform. “As a member of the OMAP Developer Network, Synergenix will be able to leverage TI’s OMAP processors to deliver its excellent entertainment capabilities to handset manufacturers.”

By offering true binary portability of games over all mophun-enabled devices, the gaming engine developed by Synergenix has quickly become very popular among both professional game developers and mobile network operators. Mophun not only prevents piracy but also provides information for revenue sharing. In addition, the mophun Run Time Engine (RTE) is fast and easy to integrate into most mobile devices.
