US : Wattpad is expanding to iPhone. Thanks to a partnership with Five Mobile, Wattpad announced that its popular ebook reading application, with an extensive library of user-generated and public domain ebooks, is now downloadable directly on the iPhone for free.

"The Apple iPhone and iPod Touch have revolutionized the ebook landscape," enthused Allen Lau, Co-founder of Wattpad. "We combine the large touch screens of the iPhone, our proven reading technology and huge collection of user-generated ebooks to provide the best possible user experience on mobile devices for free.

Best of all, you don't need a dedicated ebook subscription service or device, like Amazon Kindle or Sony eReader, as your mobile phone is always with you." "Wattpad is a true leader in the ebook space and we are excited to expand our lengthy and productive relationship," said Jeff Zakrzewski, President and Co-founder of Five Mobile.

"We are extremely pleased to be chosen by Wattpad as a trusted partner in bringing their superior reading technology to iPhone users."

Today, Wattpad is the most popular YouTube-like community for reading and sharing ebooks on mobile devices. Using any mobile phone or the latest smartphone, users have instant access to hundreds of thousands of novels, short stories, fan fiction, essays, jokes and more.

Wattpad has delivered hundreds of million of pages from its 120,000 strong ebook library to mobile devices. Anyone can read and share their comments with others.
