New MMS Wireless Handsets

China : Legend launched six new models of self-developed color screen mobile handsets, the first batch of Legend's products using the new logo. Three of the six new models are among the first locally developed mobile handsets in China that support multimedia messaging service (MMS).

These new models are the outcome of Legend¡¦s research and development efforts over the past year. The technological innovation demonstrates Legend¡¦s competitive advantage in mobile handset market compared to other local vendors, that is its strong background of IT product development capabilities and experience.

These new models are developed based on the four application trends in China's mobile handset market, namely:

Trendy look folder style, light and thin
Color application supports MMS
Entertainment feature equipped with camera or chord ring tones
M-commerce application allows data processing anytime anywhere
Each of the six new models is equipped with unique features to target low to high-end market segments.

G618 and G630 are color-screen mobile handsets priced below RMB2,000.
G818 and G820 are color-screen mobile handsets designed to target middle end market.
G900 and ET180 offer handwriting recognition and extra large screen for both e-business and entertainment uses through integrating mobile communication and information technologies.
Among the models, G818, G900 and ET180 support MMS function, allowing easy editing and group sending of various types of messages such as video clip, voice clip, text, and animation. The new models will be available in China market in May.
