Mobile Advertising Market Growing Fast in Japan

ASIA Japan : Despite the global economic downturn, mobile advertising market seems to be growing fast in Japan where advertising types such as behavior targeted advertising (search or website behavior), and so called 'Interest Match' have attracted the most attention. In the future, these advertising types are expected to show the biggest growth in the Japanese mobile market, says Yeunsil Lee, Analyst at ROA Group Japan.
According to Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the number of users who used mobile devices for web browsing reached 75.06 million in 2008, showing an increase of 2.19 million users compared to 2007. The number of mobile users, who have subscribed to mobile internet services is 91 million as of March 2009, which is approximately 84.7% of the total 107.48 million mobile users in Japan, and the number of subscribers is expected to increase further.
In a new research study titled Mobile Advertising Market in Japan - Latest Developments and Market Forecast 2009-2015, ROA Group (www.researchonasia.com) predicts that the mobile advertising market of Japan as well as mobile internet market continues to grow until 2015.
