Europe
: As the first mobile operator in Hungary T-Mobile, the largest Hungarian
mobile company, launched the 3G service and is now preparing the start
of the even faster service HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access).
Experts of the mobile company
are currently preparing the launch of this novel feature by installing
it on a part of the existing 3G network. Then, step by step, the new
solution later enabling up to ten megabits per second (mbps) download
speeds will be installed. HSDPA hence offers quick email and Internet
access for users of mobile phones, or portable computers equipped
with card phones.
Using the superbly
fast 3G, the average time required to download a music piece may shrink
to about 15 seconds. Assuming the successful testing and availability
of appropriate terminals - HSDPA mobile phones, card phones, - T-Mobile
will start the buildout on its 3G network in the first half of 2006.
The company therefore further increases data speeds for all its customers.
