UK : The latest in the Apple iTunes v Palm Pre saga is that the latest update to iTunes has again blocked the Palm Pre from syncing with iTunes.

The Palm Pre is probably the biggest competitor to Apples iPhone and we suppose Apple has every right to block it’s competitor from using its applications. However, they do risk losing revenue from music sales by blocking the Palm Pre.

The Palm engineers are now working on a way around the problem, but we feel it may be a waste of time if Apple continue to block the device with every update to it’s iTunes software.

The Palm Pre launched last month with a heavy advertising campaign and is exclusive to O2. The Palm Pre achieved a five star review here at 3G.co.uk, with the summarizing paragraph reading “The Palm Pre has set some high standards for other smartphones to reach.”

The Palm Pre has a 3.1 inch touchscreen, 3.1 megapixel camera, built in A-GPS , WiFi support and full 3G capability.

The Palm Pre runs on the new webOS operating system, which enables multi-tasking and brings your email accounts into one manageable inbox.

You can buy the Palm Pre on O2 here.
