UK : Orange have partnered with Twitter to enable customers to send and receive Twitter updates from their mobiles through text messaging,
Furthermore, you can also send photos to Twitter via MMS which makes Orange the first operator to provide this functionality.
This arrangement removes the need for customers to download applications to interact with Twitter, which in many cases cost money.
Orange Customers can update their Twitter, send messages to other Twitter users and receive alerts from people they follow through text messages. Users have full control over who they receive “tweets” from and can choose to receive from all the people they follow, individuals or just to receive messages.
Received messages will be free, while uploaded messages will be charged at the usual SMS rate.
The photo upload functionality enables users to put their photos onto “Snapshot”, which is a site made by orange which automatically posts link directly to Twitter in a tweet.
