US : Verilink Corporation announced that it has joined forces with Global Wireless Data to sell and distribute the NetPath 2000 wireless broadband access solution through its network of Wireless Solutions Integrators and direct sales force. As part of an event sponsored by Verizon Wireless, Global Wireless Data will be demonstrating the NetPath 2000 on its four city roadshow. The NetPath 2000 is an industry-leading high-speed wireless device that enables small businesses and enterprises to securely connect locations via 3G high-speed cellular networks. With integrated VPN for added security and use of modular PCMCIA wireless 3G cards, the NetPath 2000 is the most versatile and powerful solution on the market. The NetPath 2000 features plug-and-play design and compatibility with EVDO, 1xRTT, EDGE, and UMTS/HSDPA based wireless networks. The NetPath 2000 provides full routing and bridging to support a wide range of applications including backup to frame relay and IP/VPN, as well as primary connectivity for mobile or temporary connectivity needs. The product is easy to configure and manage via a web-based GUI.
