Europe Hungary : T‑Mobile broadband is already in 100 settlements, available to more than 47% of the population Compared to the end of last year, T‑Mobile increases the number of cities covered with 3G/HSDPA broadband service five times, consequently the population coverage also presents an almost two fold increase.

Resulting from the network expansion, currently the T‑Mobile broadband is available in 100 settlements, where subscribers can fully capitalise on net packages – which are renewing in November and offer even more comprehensive Internet experience.

T‑Mobile’s broadband is available to more than 47% of the Hungarian population in 100 settlements, including the recently covered Kazincbarcika, Karcag, Békés, Kalocsa, Oroszlány, Szentes and Tata. The largest Hungarian mobile company continues to increase its 3G/HSDPA network – offering fast Internet – more rapidly than committed, therefore the operator will offer high quality net services within a significant part of Hungary in a couple of years – hence becoming one of the dominant Hungarian Internet service providers, as fast mobile Internet offers uncompromised and comfortable use of Internet in covered settlements. Consequent to download speeds of 3.6 Mbps sending and receiving emails or larger files becomes available in good quality, even continuous video transmission is enabled. Verifying the efforts made by T‑Mobile, the operator’s broadband network achieved extremely good results at the survey carried out by Internet portal Index, stating that beside the best geographical coverage T‑Mobile also offers the highest bandwidth to its subscribers.

The company promotes this service and raises demands for mobility by offering comfortable use as well as by increasing the data traffic included in the T‑Mobile tariff packages and by introducing new data tariff packages. Compared to March 2007 – that is less than half a year ago – the amount of data traffic included in the tariff packages also increased by several times. The 300 MB net package introduced in March will be converted into 5 GB in November – in other words it offers more than 16 times of Internet use at unchanged prices, while – as a special promotion - subscribers committing for a loyalty period can have Internet access for half price until the end of the year, for a monthly price of HUF 2,895.
