UK: Acer have announced a brand new smartphone the “Liquid”, it is the worlds first Android smartphone with a Snapdragon processor.

The Acer Liquid runs on Android 1.6, which is the latest version of the Android operating system. The Snapdragon processor is one the most powerful mobile CPUs and gives more than enough power for multiple applications to run simultaneously.

The Acer Liquid has a high-definition touchscreen, which offers amazing video playback, as well as huge potential for web-browsing, games and other multi-media applications.

Thanks to its Snapdragon processor the Acer Liquid offers rapid access to webpages, internet streaming, email and search applications. The potential for full 3D games is also there , which will rival those on your portable gaming devices.

The Acer Liquid has smart-integration of Facebook, Twitter and Youtube for quick access. The Acer Liquid also has improved battery management to ensure the battery lasts as long as possible as well as an optimized camera with geo-tagging, timer and auto-focus capability.

No official details were given of the launch date, but we understand it will be towards the end of 2009 or perhaps the first month of 2010.
