UK : Three UK (3) have announced a new partnership, with the outcome being that the HTC Hero will launch on Three with free Spotify.
Spotify attracted a lot of press before its launch because it was seen as a threat to Apple’s iStore and consequently might be rejected by Apple’s application approval process. However, this never happened and the service launched on iPhone and across other platforms.
Spotify enables free music streaming, which is funded by adverts and is a very cool way to listen to your favourite tracks. Users can pay to remove adverts from Spotify and increase the audio quality by purchasing Spotify Premium.
Three will be offering free Spotify Premium on their network with selected mobiles.
The first mobile to take advantage of Spotify Premium is the HTC Hero, which has also today been announced on Three.
The HTC Hero is an amazing handset, which utilizes the Android operating system. It will be the first Android handset to launch on Three (3). It has an amazing touch-screen, a 5MP Camera and amazing internet capabilities.
