UK : The HTC Hero has won the T3 Gadget of the year, as voted for by T3 readers.
T3 magazine is the premier technology magazine in the UK and has over 130,000 readers.
It’s quite a feat for the HTC Hero, considering it was competing against the Apple iPhone and Palm Pre.
The HTC Hero is an Android-based Handset and was the first HTC smartphone to feature HTC Sense technology. HTC sense enables you to personalize your mobile with the use of widgets on your home-screen, such as weather and news feeds. It also integrates your content and address book from multiple sources, such as Facebook and Flicker, into one manageable list.
We reviewed the HTC Hero at 3G.co.uk and gave it 5 out of 5, which is a feat that not many phones achieve. (View the HTC Hero review here).
The HTC Hero has 3.2inch multi-touch screen, a 5MP camera and 512MB of onboard memory. It supports external memory though a microSD slot and has a 3.5mm headphone jack to support your own headphones.
The HTC Hero also has built-in GPS, WiFi support and full 3G capability.
Three will be stocking the HTC Hero soon and you can buy it here.
