UK : LG have officially confirmed the LG Pop (GD510), which we brought you news of last month.

Further details now show the LG Pop is an eco-friendly touch-screen mobile.

The LG Pop has a solar-battery cover, which utilizes the power of the sun to charge the phone. Amazingly, ten minutes of sun provides 2 minutes talk-time or 180 minutes of standby time. Built-in software tells users how much they are reducing their CO2 emissions when using the solar battery

The LG Pop also doesn’t feature any bad materials in its build, such as PVC, BFR and CFR ensuring it meets even the most stringent environmental guidelines.

The LG Pops battery charger is also highly efficient reducing emissions even further and features an alert to make sure you turn of the phone when it’s fully charged. The packaging for the LG Pop is made from recyclable paper and printed in soy ink.

The LG Pop has a 3 inch touchscreen , a 3 megapixel camera , MP3 player and a web browser.

The LG Pop will be available across Europe from the middle of October.
