New 3G MVNO for Ethnic Groups
1st October , 2009
Europe : A new 3G Mobile Virtual Network Operator ( MVNO ) has entered the UK market. However, this not a new start-up as is usually the case, this is a well established European MVNO.
Vectone Mobile is the new MVNO and will share T-Mobile’s 3G network. Vectone Mobile has established MVNO operations in Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. Vectone has an existing customer base of one million.
Vectone Mobile works in the ethnic calling market and there are around 10 million potential customers in this group, which can potentially generate over seven billion mobile calls a year. Vectone Mobile becomes the eighth MVNO with T-Mobile in the UK.
Vectone Mobile offers a pay as you go tariff with cheap call rates for international, national and local calls. All that needed is a SIM card from Vectone Mobile with pay as you go vouchers bought online or from participating shops.
We are delighted to be supporting Vectone’s ambitious expansion plans for the UK market. The deal with Vectone signals our intent to become a major player in the ethnic MVNO arena. With international calling card minutes rapidly migrating to mobile, this is an excellent time to be forging new partnerships in a segment which is showing signs of bucking the recession with strong projected growth rates, said, T-Mobile UK Managing Director Richard Moat.
