World's First 3G LTE IOT for Device Terminals

China : Huawei and Samsung announced the world's first LTE IOT (Interoperability Test) in Europe in November to verify the interoperability of LTE network infrastructures and device terminals.


The IOT will use LTE modems manufactured by Samsung on Huawei's LTE trial network in Europe.


"The test bridges the most cutting-edge telecom technology with increasing demand for the ability to enjoy rich and compelling services anytime, anywhere." said Mr. Wan Biao, President of Wireless, Huawei. "As a leading provider of end-to-end mobile broadband solutions, Huawei is dedicated to accelerating the commercialisation of LTE technology through close cooperation with our industry peers."


Huawei has made over 3000 LTE/SAE contributions to standardisation bodies, and finished over 20 field tests and trials with world-leading operators such as Vodafone, Telenor and China Mobile.
