Mobile TV Screenings and Awards at MIPCOM 2006

Australia : Call Direct Cellular Solutions (CDCS) has launched their series of HSDPA Routers based on their successful CDM800 series platform. The new devices will cover all of Australia's HSDPA frequencies of 850/2100MHz plus 1900MHz. The main cellular players - Telstra, Vodafone, Optus and 3 intend to be switching on their HSDPA offerings over the next quarter.

Barry Mitchell, Managing Director of CDCS stated that although the company had had great successes in the EvDO space, with the advent of the decommissioning of that network sometime in 2008, HSDPA was the obvious path to follow. With the remoteness of the Australian landscape, Mr Mitchell pointed out that Cellular was likely to always be the preferred platform when it came to moving data. At this time CDCS's offerings will be the CDM821seu, a 1.8M 2100MHz device and the CDM885 being their 1.8M 850Mhz offering and their flagship router the CDM882 3.6Mbps Tri Band HSDPA with fall back to EDGE, GPRS, and standard GSM on 800/1800/1900MHz.
