Groove Mobile Powers Music on a Number of 3G Phones
11th October, 2006

Europe : Groove Mobile announced that it powers music on 8 of the world's top 10 selling mobile phones during the month of September. Figures for September reflect sales on six continents and over 50 countries according to a survey for Krusell, a Swedish manufacturer of mobile device cases exported around the world.

Inset is Adam Sexton quoted below.

Combined with today's announcement from IMS Research that mobile phone sales will top 960 million units in 2006 and over 1 billion in 2007, Groove Mobile now powers the world's largest deployment of mobile music devices on handsets manufactured by Motorola, Samsung, Sanyo, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and LG among others.

Today's statistics confirm that the world's top mobile phone manufacturers are now competing with devices such as the iPod to become the preferred mobile music device. Millions of handsets operating on the world's most robust 3G networks are supporting the Grove Mobile music player in order to take advantage of innovative features including Groove Mobile's WAP Music Store. In addition, mobile phones operating on 2.5G and GPRS networks are expanding their potential mobile music customer base by supporting Groove Mobile's award winning music player and taking advantage of increased efficiency in compression and transmission.

"By playing music on 8 of the world's top 10 selling handsets, Groove Mobile is leading the worldwide expansion of today's mobile music market," stated Adam Sexton, Vice President, Marketing and Product Management, Groove Mobile. "No other music device can rival the mobile phone for its dominant presence in hands of consumers around the world and Groove Mobile's ability to bring music to them."

The Groove Mobile music player currently runs on the following handsets:

Motorola: RAZR V3m, KRZR K1m, SLVR L7c, E1070, V3x, E1000, A1000,
Samsung: D600, Z400, A900, A920, A940
Sanyo: MM-9000, MM-7500
Nokia: N70, N73, 6630, 6680, 6280, 3230, 7610
Sony Ericsson: K600, W850, W950i, K750, W600, W800, W810i,
LG: U400, Fusic

The popularity of the Groove Mobile player comes in part from its flexibility and compatibility as well as its innovation. The Groove Mobile music player comes pre-installed on many popular handsets, can easily be downloaded over the air, and runs seamlessly on JAVA, Symbian and Microsoft operating systems. In addition, Groove Mobile powers music stores for wireless carriers in the United States, Canada, the UK, European Union and Australasia.
