Mobile Broadband Performance with V5000 Optimization Engine |

: Venturi Wireless announced the immediate availability of its V5000
Optimization Engine. The V5000 allows mobile and wireless operators
to more quickly adapt to accelerating demand for high bandwidth data
and multimedia services, while new capabilities further enhance subscriber
experience for email and video streaming over 2.5G, 3G and 4G networks.
The company is currently deploying the V5000 in two live operator networks
in the Asia Pacific region and is conducting trials with several other
mobile operators.
The new V5000 Optimization Engine is at the core of Venturi’s optimization suite for consumers and business users. The suite includes the V5000, the VCentral Element Manager, the VClient Laptop Edition and the VClient Handset Edition. Venturi’s VClient software works together with the V5000 Optimization Engine to automatically deliver optimized broadband data and multimedia services to laptop, personal digital assistant (PDA), smartphone and feature phone users. The suite delivers unmatched subscriber experience for a wide range of applications including browsing, video, music, email, file transfer and business applications. The V5000 includes a carrier-grade server appliance and the company’s optimization server software, featuring Venturi’s patented Adaptive Airlink Optimization™ technology. The V5000, which replaces the V3000 product series, offers mobile and wireless operators and their subscribers the following additional advantages: Architecture scaleable
to tens of millions of subscribers, thereby meeting the requirements
for mass market deployment to handset users. The V5000 further enables
operators to adapt to data traffic growth by allowing the addition
of incremental capacity. The Venturi V5000 Optimization Engine is available today directly from Venturi Wireless and from Venturi’s global reseller partners. The VClient Laptop Edition for Windows 2000/XP and Mac OS X is available from Venturi’s mobile and wireless operator customers. |
