UK : A page has appeared on Vodafone’s website confirming that is has been given the nod by Apple to sell the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS. This news comes hot on the heels that Orange is selling these too.
This means that O2, Orange and Vodafone now have the rights to selling the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS in the UK and Ireland.
We foresee a price showdown between the three mobile operators as Christmas approaches. The iPhone was only recently acclaimed the coolest brand on the planet and the news that you can now buy this coo phone on two extra networks is likely to send sales through the roof.
3G.co.uk reviewed the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS quite a while ago but they remain the leaders of the pack.
What about poor old T-Mobile and 3 UK the other main mobile operators in the UK. T – Mobile may benefit as it has recently merged with Orange but what about poor old 3-UK, they seem to be left out in the cold here.
More news as soon as we have it. The page where you can show an interest in buying the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS is here http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-phone/iphone-3gs however there is no news on pricing or availability yet.
