Overview

iPhone X Silver

The iPhone X is the ultimate phone to inspire envy in your friends and family. Almost like a vision of the future, it has an incredible design with virtually no bezel around the screen on the front and a slim 7.7mm thick metal and glass shell which also happens to be water resistant.

That screen is 5.8 inches and the sharpest Apple has ever put on a phone at 1125 x 2436 and 458 pixels per inch. It’s also Apple’s first Super AMOLED screen, which makes the contrast better and the colours more vibrant than on any other iPhone display.

Plus it sports True Tone tech, allowing it to cleverly adjust the white balance based on the ambient light. There’s even support for HDR content, making this one of the best screens you’ll find on any phone.

The iPhone X also sports Face ID, which is Apple’s new facial recognition system. It’s clever enough not to be tricked by a photo, yet should still be able to recognize you if your appearance changes.

And of course, the iPhone X is also very, very powerful, with a new hexa-core A11 Bionic chipset and 3GB of RAM giving it all the power it needs to speed through apps, games and other tasks.

Not that it needs any more power than that, but Apple’s given it some anyway, in the form of a neural engine which is used to power AI tasks, such as facial recognition. This is so fast it’s capable of up to 600 billion operations every single second.

The iPhone X also has an impressive 12MP dual-lens camera on the back. Those two lenses allow for 2x optical zoom and also for the phone to create striking bokeh effects, where the background is blurred and the foreground stands out.

The camera is also clever enough to automatically adjust its settings based on what you’re shooting, so you really can just point and shoot, but if you want more control there are plenty of options and effects too.

There’s also an 8MP camera around the front, and if you’re more into video you can shoot that at up to 4K quality at 60fps, or you can shoot 1080p slow motion footage at 240fps.

Plus, the iPhone X has a 2,716mAh battery with wireless charging, so it’s easy to keep juiced up, and there’s up to 256GB of storage, giving you more space than you’re ever likely to need.
