Overview

Galaxy Note 8 spec

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the phone for phablet fans who want it all, combining a huge screen with cutting-edge specs and loads of features.

The Note 8 has a 6.3-inch 1440 x 2960 display with a pixel density of 521 pixels per inch, so it’s massive and incredibly sharp. It’s also Super AMOLED, which ensures it’s bright and vibrant, and it supports HDR, so content can almost pop off the screen.

Plus, it’s got curved edges and almost no bezel, giving the appearance that it just melts into the metal and glass body of the phone. And that body is built to last, with IP68 certification, so you can dunk it up to 1.5 metres deep in water for up to 30 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also enormously powerful, thanks to 6GB of RAM and an octa-core Exynos 8895 chipset clocked at up to 2.3GHz – that’s the same chipset as the Samsung Galaxy S8 has but 2GB of extra RAM.

The camera is another highlight, as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a 12MP dual-lens snapper, allowing you to zoom in for 2x lossless optical zoom, or blur the background for a bokeh effect.

The Note 8 has high-tech security features too, with not just a fingerprint scanner but also an iris scanner, and with an S Pen stylus included it’s built for productivity, whether you want to jot down notes or sketch.

There’s also a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging and even fast wireless charging, and near endless space, with at least 64GB built in and a microSD card slot with support for up to 256GB more.

And of course, it comes with Samsung’s Bixby AI assistant, giving you a powerful alternative to Google Assistant.
