LG has officially confirmed the existence of the LG G Pro 2 via its Korean website. The news broke in a roundabout way as LG released details of its OIS plus camera technology.
Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS) technology was first seen on LG’s G2 flagship smartphone, but LG has now taken its OIS technology to the next level and are calling this OIS plus.
OIS plus effectively floats the camera lens and corrects blurring associated with trembling or shaking. This ensures a crystal-clear picture and also corrects photos taken in a dark environment, improving low light photography conditions.
LG are aiming high on the camera side of the LG G Pro 2 with its OIS plus technology and the 13 megapixel camera. The camera can record HD quality video and playback videos in slow motion. It can shoot up to 20 photos in one image (burst mode) at a resolution of 3840 * 2160.
Previously , 3G reported that the LG G Pro 2 was expected to feature Android 4.4 KitKat and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor 800. The G Pro 2 is also rumoured to come with a 6-inch full HD display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution (ppi=367) and 3GB of RAM.
