The LG G6 is one of the best phones of the year so far and it's almost here, with an April 27th release date planned. Better yet, Three has already put the phone up for pre-order and those who do pre-order could get it as soon as April 20th.
Prices start at just £29 per month with £129 upfront, which isn't cheap, but is good value for a top tier flagship that's so new you can't even get it yet, and to help get you in the mood, Three has also released a video teaser to show the LG G6 off, which you'll find below.
Well, for one thing it’s got an innovative 18:9 5.7-inch 1440 x 2880 QHD+ screen, with a pixel density of 564 pixels per inch. That’s not only very big and very sharp, but the aspect ratio means there’s room to run two apps side by side in square windows, and it even supports HDR content, so you can experience video like never before on a smartphone.
And despite the large size of the screen the LG G6 is a manageable size overall, thanks to an 80.7% screen-to-body ratio. It’s got a premium look too, with a slim metal frame and glass back that’s water and dust resistant.
The LG G6 is packed full of power as well, with a high-end Snapdragon 821 chipset and 4GB of RAM, and with 32GB of built in storage plus a microSD card slot for expansion by up to 256GB there’s space for all your content.
LG’s camera tech rarely fails to impress and it’s at its best here, with dual 13MP rear cameras, one of which is a standard lens, the other is wide-angle, so you can choose which to use for any given shot and don’t sacrifice any quality with either of them, unlike with the LG G5. There’s also a 5MP wide-angle camera around the front, so you can fit more into your selfies.
With the latest version of Android in the mix too, plus a 3,300mAh fast-charging battery, an always-on screen and a fingerprint scanner, the LG G6 could be the phone to beat in 2017.
